Embassy – Office building of the Republic of Turkey, Berlin

Harmoniously integrated into the urban context of the embassy district, the building ensemble is made up of three rectangular solitaires that are connected by a large hall. The buildings are minimalistic in their appearance, the facades shimmer golden and bronze, the central hall roof is reminiscent of rugged, Turkish tuff landscapes – modeled on a stone landscape. The ensemble lives from this contrast of sculptural fissuring and restrained elegance of the facades. The message is integrated into the surrounding landscape with a large plane tree and a rock garden. The design quotes the Turkish cultural landscape in its uniqueness and expressiveness. The existing historical elements are integrated into the building.
